Rock stars, actors and possibly the most talented footballer living today have all been moved by the Russian woman’s blend of simplicity and mystique. Not all relationships stand the test of time, each coming with its own unique story of the highs and lows, success or failure. Below are some of the men whose hearts have been stolen by the Russian female.
Olga Khokhlova, a Russian ballet dancer met Pablo Picasso in France 1917. Their attraction was obvious and they got married in the hot summer of 1918. Pablo got a wife, a friend, a source of inspiration and painted ‘Olga in the Armchair’ one of his most well known portraits. Mr. Picasso was a lucky man. Olga had important bourgeois connections which influenced not only Picasso’s work, but his social life.
Another Russian woman inspired one of the greatest artists of all times, Surrealist Salvador Dali. Gala (born Elena Diakonova) was ten years older. It’s said that the artist lost his virginity to her and that she saved him from complete madness.
