I know women face rape far more than men. But there is a bigger problem when a man is on the recieving end of rape from a woman. If you look inside the link I provided, you will see on the top left of the screen that they use humour. You would never see any humour at all if its expressing a woman being raped in an article. Secondly, what also bothers me is that at the end of the article it says the woman may face prison? Only «may»? And it says she could be convicted of rape? Only «could»? Would a man «may» or «could» be in trouble if he raped a woman or would he definitely be in trouble? Even that the woman attempted to rob his store? Thirdly, this happened months ago and yet, no one knows what has happened to the female rapist since.

A hairdresser from the small Russian town of Meshchovsk has subdued a man who tried to rob her shop, and then raped him for three days in the utility room, Life.ru reports.
The incident occurred on Saturday, March 14. The working day was coming to an end at a small hairdressers, when a man armed with a gun rushed in and demanded the day’s earnings.

Because its much hard for a women to rape a grown man, also because so many men make false reports about this crap to try and be funny. BUt it is taking seriously, at least in america. If a women is convicted they actually face harsher charges.

It is far more difficult for a man to prove that he was raped by a woman, than for a woman to prove that she was raped by a man … and it is already difficult for a woman to prove that she was raped.

A lot of people don’t believe a man can be raped by a woman unless he wants to be in some way (how else would he get an erection?). As we can see from the use of viagra in tihs story it is altogether possible!
I think most would agree that this is a pretty unusual story. However, there is no doubt that men are victims of rape, both by women and other men. And I think men have to take some ownership of how male rape victims are perceived. Maybe because men are so uncomfortable with the idea, they tend to minimize or belittle the experience of male victims. You get the «gosh, wish it had been me» responses from some men, like we’re supposed to laugh it off if it happens to us. Male victims also get suspicions with respect to their virility or manhood. And don’t forget, most law enforcement officers and judges are male. The police have to take it seriously in order to lay a charge. The judges have to give it weight in order for there to be a fair disposition. These are men making decisions about men. It is up to men to change these attitudes.
@Jessica: I suppose you can back up your claim with stats? I didn’t think so. In all my life I have never read a story of a man claiming he was raped when he wasn’t all bar one story I read a few years back, in which one man did just that. I don’t have the story to hand though.
Obviously I am not saying that it isn’t possible for men to do this but you feminists seem so keen on having stats when men say anything like your statement so back you answer up with said stats other wise it is just biased lies. As for facing harsher charges? What a bunch of crap. You only have to look at these female child molesters getting let off with a smack on the wrist to see that the courts don’t take female paedophiles and rapists seriously.
As for the story, to be honest it is one of those stories that could be false but if it is true then it is a good example of how «funny» some people think male rape is. If a man did what this woman was supposed to have done then he would be jailed for a very long time and everyone would be calling him evil and there would be calls to castrate him from the feminists.
Most people think that men can’t be raped because of erections. Ladies do you have a penis? You have no idea how it works. I don’t have a vagina so I don’t know how it works and I won’t even guess because it’s impossible to know. I am a man therefore know how a penis works. It is entirely possible to get an erection even if you didn’t want one. Sometimes it is out with your control.
Even barring the whole erection debate no one seems to take into account anal penetration. Would you say if she took a vibrator and forced it into his behind, would that be rape? Most feminists will tell you no even though if again the genders reversed they would say it’s rape.
Despite what most people think men can be just as vulnerable as women. Most men won’t report rape because when they do they face laughter and disbelief. Women claim to have a hard time reporting rape but try being a man and you will soon see it is no walk in the park.

I guess that guy got caught with his pants down. On a serious note, I believe men are not taken as seriously because they are expected to be the stronger sex. From what I understand when a man is raped, the majority of the time violence is not involved, it is more of a seduction of sorts. When a woman is raped it is usually a very violent crime. This does not include males that are children.
