Russian Women Online NOW: New Russian Women:
Ignore the first comment. This individual obviousley has no millitary background. The soviet union is a broke nation however they do eat well and I believe their living quarters resemble the U.S. millitary quarters. They are more strict than the U.S. millitary. The U.S. millitary is much more organized and disiplined than the soviet millitary. Are they underpayed? Absolutely, however if you take in the cost of living you may reconsider. If I were to join a foreign millitary I would join the French Foreign Legion. Pay’s Well, You eat well, and a retirement that is unbeatable. I would have to say probably one of the toughest millitarys in the world (as a whole). I am speaking from a man’s point of view because I have never met a woman in the soviet millitary. I am sure they are there I just have never seen them.
OK. I know the military for Russian males is crappy, so why would it be good for females. Some young males try to run away to avoid it. Russian law says every Russian male between age 18-27 have to serve.
Adding on to what the lady said below, I have seen videos of the beatings in the Russian military as well. It wasn’t as severe maybe as what the lady said below, but it was the bullying done in the Russian military. The older solders wake up the new solders in the middle of the night and just use them as punching bags. The young new solders were all lined up and just had to stand there quietly and take the punches and kicks for hours.
